Engineered quartz countertops fabricated and installed by Miami's stone specialists. Caesarstone, Silestone, MSI, and Cambria — non-porous, zero-maintenance, lifetime durability.
Quartz is the fastest-growing countertop category in Miami for one simple reason: it does everything most homeowners want with effectively zero maintenance. Engineered from 90% crushed natural quartz bound by polymer resin and pigment, quartz delivers the look of natural stone without the porosity, staining, or sealing routine. It does not absorb water, wine, or oil. It is bacteria-resistant by default. And modern quartz manufacturers — Caesarstone, Silestone, Cambria, MSI Q-Premium — produce convincing marble-look patterns that read as natural stone from any normal viewing distance.
Quartz is the right answer for most Miami kitchens. It outperforms marble on stain resistance (no etching from lemon, vinegar, or wine). It outperforms granite on maintenance (no sealing). It comes in consistent patterns slab to slab, which matters for large continuous installations like waterfall islands or full-height backsplashes where granite's natural variation can look chaotic. The trade-off: quartz is heat-sensitive (do not set hot pans directly on it) and the highest-end veined patterns can still betray their engineered origin under direct sunlight. For 80% of Miami kitchens, those are not real constraints.
We work with all major quartz brands and help Miami clients choose the right pattern for their space. Caesarstone offers the most refined whites and softer veining — popular in contemporary luxury kitchens. Silestone has the broadest color range and excellent solid colors. Cambria is American-made with deep veining patterns ideal for traditional kitchens. MSI Q-Premium offers the best price-to-quality ratio for budget-conscious projects. We can also custom-source from European mills for unique large-format slabs. We bring samples to your home so you can see the pattern in your actual lighting before committing.
Modern quartz fabrication uses digital templating with laser measurement. We map your cabinetry, sink cutouts, and faucet locations in CAD, then send the file directly to CNC equipment for cutting. For large continuous runs, we plan seam placement to fall in inconspicuous locations (corners, behind sinks, under upper cabinets). Mitered edges and waterfall returns are particularly clean in quartz because the engineered material accepts a perfect bevel — natural stone often shows a hairline at miters that quartz simply does not. We have installed dozens of waterfall islands in Miami where the seam is genuinely invisible.
Quartz care is among the easiest of any countertop material. Daily cleaning with mild soap and water is all you need. Avoid bleach, oven cleaners, and pH-extreme products which can dull the polish over time. Do not place hot pans directly on the surface — use trivets. Beyond that, there is no sealing, no resealing, no annual maintenance. Quartz holds its appearance for 20+ years in normal use. Manufacturer warranties run 10-25 years depending on brand. We register every installation with the manufacturer on your behalf.

"Full kitchen in Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo with a waterfall island. The seam at the corner of the waterfall is invisible. Two designers have asked us what marble we used — it is quartz. We tell them."

"We have small kids and we cook constantly. Marble was off the table. AP Stone walked us through quartz options and we ended up with Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold. It looks like marble; it cleans like a kitchen counter should."

Quartz countertops in Miami typically cost $70 to $130 per square foot installed, depending on brand, pattern, edge profile, and cutout complexity. A standard 40 sq ft kitchen countertop runs $2,800 to $5,200 fabricated and installed. Premium veined patterns from Caesarstone or Cambria can reach $150-180 per sq ft. Pricing includes templating, fabrication, installation, and manufacturer warranty registration.
For most Miami kitchens, yes. Quartz is non-porous (no sealing required), more stain-resistant, and comes in more consistent patterns across slabs. Granite still wins on heat resistance and unique dramatic patterns. We recommend quartz for white/contemporary kitchens and heavy-use cooking spaces, granite for bold-pattern traditional kitchens and outdoor applications where heat is a factor.
Quartz is highly stain-resistant and rarely cracks under normal use. The main failure mode is heat damage — sustained direct heat above 300°F can cause discoloration or scorching. Use trivets for hot pans. Sharp impacts at edges or corners can chip, especially on thin profiles. We use 3cm (1.25-inch) thickness as standard for Miami installations to minimize this risk.
All major brands are quality products. Caesarstone has the most refined whites and softest veining (best for contemporary luxury). Silestone offers the broadest color range. Cambria has bolder veining and is American-made. MSI Q-Premium is the best price-to-quality value. Final choice depends on the look you want and your budget. We bring samples to your home so you see them in your actual lighting.
From contract to installation, expect 2 to 4 weeks: 1 week for sample selection, 1 week for templating after cabinets are set, 1-2 weeks for fabrication, and a single day for installation. Total kitchen disruption is minimal — we install in one day and you can use the counters immediately.
