Palm Beach County
Waterproofing is the system that protects every Palm Beach bathroom from humidity, leaks, and mold. We install ANSI A118.10 sheet or liquid membranes under tile, then flood-test showers and wet walls before any finish work begins.
Bathroom waterproofing in Palm Beach is a membrane system installed under tile on shower floors, wet walls, and other continuous wet surfaces. We use ANSI A118.10-compliant sheet membranes such as Schluter Kerdi, or liquid-applied systems rated for the same standard. The membrane bonds to a prepared substrate, wraps curbs and niches, and seals every penetration so water cannot reach framing or drywall. After the membrane cures, we flood-test the shower pan and wet areas before tile goes in. This work covers waterproofing under tile for showers, wet walls, and condo bathrooms. It does not include plumbing pipes, valves, or fixture replacement.
Palm Beach humidity and coastal condo construction make correct waterproofing non-negotiable. High relative humidity drives moisture into poorly sealed assemblies, and multi-unit buildings leave little margin for leaks into units below. We coordinate with condo and HOA requirements when documentation or inspections are needed, and we provide flood-test records with the project. Whether you are renovating a master shower in Boca Raton or sealing wet walls in West Palm Beach, the membrane and flood test come first.
Why AP STONE INC.
ANSI A118.10 membranes (Schluter Kerdi sheet or liquid systems) installed before any tile. We never skip this step.
Every shower and wet-wall assembly is flood-tested and verified before finish tile is installed.
Documentation and schedules suited to Palm Beach County condo and HOA requirements for wet-area work.
All wet-area waterproofing permitted with Palm Beach County as required. Complete documentation provided.
In Palm Beach, bathroom waterproofing for a standard shower typically costs $1,200 to $3,500 depending on pan size, niche count, and whether sheet (Schluter Kerdi) or liquid ANSI A118.10 membrane is specified. Full wet-wall coverage in a master bathroom often runs $2,500 to $6,000. Condo projects may include additional coordination time reflected in the estimate.
Membrane installation and flood testing for a standard shower take 1 to 2 working days after substrate prep. Liquid systems need manufacturer cure time before the flood test. Tile installation begins only after a successful flood test. A full bathroom wet-area package usually fits within a 4 to 6 day renovation schedule alongside demolition and tile.
Wet-area renovations that alter waterproofing assemblies often require Palm Beach County permits when paired with remodel work. We handle permit documentation as required and provide flood-test records for inspections and HOA files. Plumbing fixture or pipe work is outside our waterproofing scope and would be coordinated with a licensed plumber if needed.
